In the Government’s Essential Requirements Regulations, businesses are required to produce packaging that is re-usable by increasing its durability.

• In most cases sheep’s wool insulated packaging can be re-used several times as liners in returnable delivery boxes.
• When the sheep’s wool insulation is no longer required as packaging, it has many purposes for end-users including lagging pipes and outside taps, draught excluders and loft insulation.
• The felted sheep’s wool is also effective for other uses including protecting shrubs and trees from frost, lining hanging baskets, stuffing cushions, pet bedding and as nitrate-rich compost
