Recycle
The insulation is made from pure sheep’s wool which does not contain polyester or chemical insecticides so that even at the end of its useful life, the fleece is totally compostable and biodegradable, releasing valuable nitrates back into the soil.
The MDPE film used to enclose the fleece and the LDPE envelopes used for Woolmail are recyclable at local authority waste depots.
The cardboard delivery boxes are produced using recycled material and are recyclable at local authority waste depots.
Requirements of the Packaging (Essential Requirements) Regulations include:
- Some or all of your packaging must be able to be either recycled, have energy recovered from it, or be composted or reused.
- Packaging must have a minimal impact on the environment after disposal.
- Packaging weight and volume should be kept to a minimum (subject to safety, hygiene and consumer acceptance).
- Packaging must be manufactured so that a percentage (by weight) of the material can be recycled in accordance with British Standards, BS EN 13430:2004.
