January, 2024

Happy New Year! As we begin 2024, we are looking forward to an exciting year of new products, additions to our ever-growing team, new markets and new horizons.

As an award-winning business that was built on a ‘eureka’ moment – when our founder Angela Morris first recognised the potential of using pure sheep wool to insulate packaging – Woolcool has always been driven by innovation and opportunity. 2024 is no exception to this and is already shaping up to be an exciting year in our journey.

What better way to start off than with a product launch? Following its first reveal and soft launch at the end of 2023, soon we’ll be officially revealing FreightGUARDIAN®, our innovative pallet cover solution, not just protecting precious pallet cargo, but insulating it too. This market challenging product is the perfect solution for more clients to finally benefit from the amazing properties and sustainable credentials of nature’s smart fibre for their larger freight shipments. Watch this space for updates!

We’ll be welcoming new members to the Woolcool® family too, as we recruit additional team members to provide further strength to an already robust, passionate and committed team. In particular, we’ll be growing our customer services and marketing departments, as we expand into new markets. This will allow us to ensure that we uphold our commitment to exceptional service and product range, no matter our client’s size, requirements or location.

We’re excited to see what 2024 brings for our extended family of Woolcool® partners, clients and customers. Whatever is planned, we’ll be there to collaborate, problem solve and develop.

Josie Morris MBE

Managing Director, Woolcool®

And exciting opportunities await as we look at new markets around the world. Woolcool® is already a brand with global presence – our Managing Director, Josie Morris, is one of the Department for International Trade’s Export Champions, a community of 400 leaders who help DIT to reach out to business, sharing their exporting expertise with new and inexperienced exporters and promoting the benefits of exporting. In 2024, we have ambitions to enter previously unexplored territories around the world, introducing Woolcool® into areas where man-made poly boxes still dominate temperature-controlled packaging.

And at home, we’ll be extending the products in our popular Hortiwool® range, which takes the tried-and-tested benefits of wool and finds innovative applications for it in the garden. Gardeners love our Hortiwool® products, and we’re already rolling up our sleeves to see what other green-fingered uses we can identify for this amazing natural material.

On top of all this, we’re also excited to see what 2024 brings for our extended family of Woolcool® partners, clients and customers. Whatever is planned, we’ll be there to collaborate, problem solve and develop to provide the high performing temperature-controlled packaging and the excellent service that has become synonymous with Woolcool. We want to make 2024 a year to remember!
