We’re excited to be attending the Footprint Festival, bringing together businesses, organisations and individuals who are passionate about sustainability, innovation and creating positive change.
At Woolcool®, sustainability has always been at the heart of what we do, from challenging traditional packaging materials to championing the incredible natural properties of wool, we believe businesses have an important role to play in creating a more responsible future.
That’s why events like the Footprint Festival are so important.
Bringing Businesses Together for Positive Change
The Footprint Festival provides an opportunity to connect, share ideas and learn from others who are working towards a more sustainable way of doing business.
For us this is something that strongly aligns with our own approach. Our mission is using natural materials to change the world, and for more than 20 years we’ve been challenging the packaging industry to think differently about the materials it uses and the impact those choices can have.
Our insulated packaging solutions harness the natural properties of wool to protect temperature-sensitive products in transit, providing an alternative to conventional insulation materials across industries including food and pharmaceuticals.
But sustainability isn’t simply about swapping one material for another. It’s about looking at the bigger picture, considering where materials come from, how effectively they perform, how they are used and what happens to them at the end of their useful life.
These are exactly the kinds of conversations we’re looking forward to having at the Footprints Festival.
Hear from Woolcool® CEO Josie Morris MBE
We’re also delighted that our CEO, Josie Morris MBE, will be taking part in a panel discussion during the festival.
Josie has long been an advocate for responsible business and for demonstrating that sustainability and commercial success don’t have to be competing priorities.
As CEO of a family business that has sustainability built into its foundations, Josie will be able to share Woolcool®’s experiences, challenges and learnings, as well as discuss how businesses can make meaningful progress towards a more sustainable future.
There is always more that businesses can learn, improve and challenge, which is why collaboration and open conversations with other organisations are so valuable.
Small Changes Can Make a Big Difference
One of the principles we strongly believe in at Woolcool® is that businesses don’t have to be perfect to start making a difference.
Individual changes might sometimes feel small, but when businesses collectively reconsider the way they operate, source materials, manage waste and develop products, those changes can create a much greater impact.
Our own journey began by looking to nature for a solution to a packaging problem.
Wool is renewable, abundant and naturally highly effective as an insulator, its complex fibres help manage temperature and moisture, making it particularly suited to protecting temperature-sensitive products.
By taking a material that has been used for thousands of years and applying it in an innovative way Woolcool® has been able to challenge expectations around what sustainable packaging can look like.
It’s this combination of nature, science and innovation that continues to drive us today.
See You at the Footprint Festival
We’re looking forward to joining the conversations at the Footprint Festival, meeting businesses and individuals who share our passion for positive change and hearing new perspectives on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
If you’re attending the Footprint Festival too, make sure you come and say hello to the Woolcool® team.
We’d love to hear what sustainability means to your business, the challenges you’re currently facing and the changes you’re making to reduce your environmental impact.
