Woolcool® thermal insulated products range, including LifeGUARDIAN® help companies and consumers reduce, reuse and recycle packaging as set out by Governmental targets across the globe.
The wool insulation is certified compostable, releasing valuable nitrates back into the soil. Any plastics used are easily recyclable at local authority waste depots. The cardboard delivery boxes are produced using recycled materials, and from FSC sources, these are easily recyclable at local authority waste depots.

Our story.
We are the founders of the sustainable packaging revolution, dating back to early 2000s. Woolcool®, using patented technology, produce high performing insulated packaging for the shipment of temperature sensitive products. We are always innovating to offer the widest range of passive packaging solutions. We are now the sustainable solution of choice for many across the globe and remain the original and scalable solution focused on using 100% pure wool. We strive to be a business as a force for good and are the first packaging company of our kind to achieve B Corp certification.
Over 40 years of packaging design and natural material expertise, and two decades of invention, innovation and experience in the cold chain have collided to create a LifeGUARDIAN®, and we are ready to cause a seismic change in the expectations of the sector.
Not satisfied with taking the easy option by replicating what is already out there, we have created a high performing and sustainable passive packaging system, using a 100% natural and compostable material as the insulator. It has long been assumed that to achieve a sustainable solution, performance would need to be sacrificed. Through LifeGUARDIAN® we have tested and emphatically disproved that assumption.
Every aspect of LifeGUARDIAN® has been considered, whether it’s component placement to enhance performance, a material choice to improve sustainability or pointers to ease the packing process.

Wool
100% Pure Wool is completely compostable, both at home and in an industrial composting facility. Remove the plastic outer and put the wool into your garden/bio waste bin.
Cardboard
This element is to be recycled with your paper and cardboard recycling.
Plastic
The plastic element protects the internal wool liner. We use MDPE and LDPE film, both these elements can be recycled together with your flexible plastic – recyclable code 4.
